What is SimSecret?
SimSecret is based on the PostSecret project, which has inspired many similar communities to pop up around LiveJournal. This community was started after noticing that it was not uncommon for Sims-related secrets to be posted in other "secret" LJ communities.

Basically, the concept here is to create an image that describes and illustrates a secret of yours--something you've never told anyone--and to do so anonymously. The main differences between SimSecret and PostSecret is that (a) we accept all secrets that follow our simple rules, and (b) secrets here are somehow related to The Sims games.

So what do I do?
1) Create a "postcard" for your secret that fits within the rules/guidelines below.
2)  Upload your secret to tinypic.com.
3)  Submit your secret by leaving an anonymous comment in a submissions post.
4)  Wait for your secret to be posted, and comment on other secrets if you wish.

The Rules!
• Secrets must be somehow related to The Sims games. Whether it's a gameplay secret or a non-game secret that uses the game to illustrate it.
• Images may be no larger than 600x600 pixels.  Suggested size
  is 600x450.
• The secret must be yours, not something you heard somewhere.Secrets that use pictures of real people are not permitted.
• Secrets that simply write over a previously posted secret will not be posted.
  That's what comments are for.
• Secrets that are WCIF or help requests will not be posted, that is not what this community is about. You can ask those questions anonymously at [info]sims_101.
• Secrets that use hate speech or are considered to be bullying will not be posted. Make your point without being offensive or cruel.
• When commenting, you are entitled to your opinion, but flaming is not permitted.
• Deletion of comments is not allowed. Remember to think before you type.
• As for the content of your secret, just be truthful.  There are no
  other restrictions.


NOTE: Simply befriend/watch/f-list add the community - do not join it. For simplicity's sake, the maintainers are the only community members!

Tips/Suggestions:
• Be brief - the fewer words the better.
• Be legible - if your secret is unreadable it can't be posted.
• Be creative! Make your secret unique.
• And most importantly, be genuine.
